It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Veronica Martínez Carballo, who left us peacefully in the Oak Ward of the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital Waterford. Maria, a Special Needs Assistant at Gorey Hill School, dedicated much of her life to nurturing and supporting others, leaving a lasting impact on her community.

Originally from Canelones, Uruguay, Maria found her home in Hollyway, Greenhill, Clonhaston, Enniscorthy. She was a beloved mother to Naomi and a sister of Sebastián. She was predeceased by her loving mother Zulma, father Ángel, and sister Alejandra.

Her absence is deeply felt by her daughter, brother, sister-in-law Immaculada, and a circle of dear friends, including Anna, Acauan, Daniel, Daisy, David, Edi, Élida, Marcus, and many others whose lives she touched with her kindness and warmth.

May Maria's gentle soul find eternal peace.

The funeral will take place at St. Aidan's Cathedral, Enniscorthy, on Wednesday, March 4th, with a Funeral Mass at 10 o'clock, which can be followed through the weblink below. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service and Cremation Service at Crosbie's Funeral Home, Enniscorthy (Y21FH10) at 12:00 PM.
