The death has occurred of Marian Lyons nee Hyland, Kilmacrade, Breaffy, Castlebar and formerly of Broadfield, Ballyvary, Castlebar, peacefully at the Mayo Hospice on 8th July 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her son Tim in March 2017 and her parents Tim and Nora Hyland (nee Joyce), Broadfield, Ballyvary, Castlebar.
Dearly loved wife of Timmy and loving mother of Anthony and Tomás and the late Tim.
She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, sons, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Alisha and Lucy and their mother Annette, Timia, Ada and Tadgh, brothers Tom and Tim, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, her much loved nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many friends.
Marian was a devoted wife and mother. She worked in the service industry for many years and more recently in Tesco for over 15 years. She was well respected and loved by her work colleagues and the many members of the public she came into contact with during her working life. Marian's greatest love was her family and home where she enjoyed cooking and baking.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Marian will repose at Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, on Saturday 9th July 2022 from 6pm to 7.30pm. Her funeral will arrive at St Aloysius Church, Breaffy, Castlebar, on Sunday 10th July for Funeral Mass at 2.00pm. Afterwards Marian will be laid to rest with her beloved son Tim in Keelogues Cemetery.
