Marie O'Connor
(née Courtney)

In the early hours of Tuesday, 3 September 2024, Marie slipped away peacefully with her family by her side, after a short illness, in the care of the wonderful staff at The Galway Hospice. Predeceased by her late brother Jimmy and sister Bernie O’Grady. Beloved wife and best friend of her heartbroken husband Tom.

 

Marie will be deeply missed and forever loved by her sons Ronan and Shane, her cherished daughter in-law Amanda. Her adored and much loved grandchildren Emma, Rebecca,Tommy, Alex and Amy.

 

She will be fondly remembered by her sister Kay O’Hare and her brothers Paddy, Eamon, Micheal and all the extended Courtney and O’Connor Families.

 

Reposing in St. Anthony's Room within the Church of St. John The Apostle, Knocknacarra, Galway (H91 W0H4) on Thursday, 5 September, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Removal afterwards to the adjacent church. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Marie on Friday, 6 September 2024, at 12 noon. Following Mass she will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.

 

House strictly private please. Family flowers only.
