The death has occurred of

Marita O'Sullivan, Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA and formerly of Killucan, Co. Westmeath, Marita died on Monday, August 22, at her home in Chevy Chase, Maryland after a short illness, in the loving care of her sons, Cillian and Eamon, and her husband, Seán Nolan.

Deeply mourned and greatly missed by her brothers Paud, Michael, and John; by Eamon’s partner Brienna and Marita’s cherished grandson Cillian Michael; by her sisters-in-law Andrea and Jane and brother-in-law Dermot; by her nephews and nieces; and by her aunt Berni.  Also, by her wider circle of family and close friends in Ireland and the US.

There will be a funeral Mass for Marita at Holy Trinity Church (www.trinity.org) in Georgetown, Washington D.C. at 10.30 a.m. (DC time) on Friday, 26th of August 2022, which will be followed some days later by cremation. Marita’s relatives and friends in Ireland who wish to attend the funeral mass virtually can access a livestream of the service (3.30 p.m., Irish time)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmdDUv-pFFs.  We plan to host a celebration of Marita’s life in the coming months in Ireland: details will be made available later.

The family welcomes messages of support via the Book of Condolences but request no flowers; if you would like to make a charitable donation instead, Marita was a strong supporter of voluntary organizations that support the homeless.
