Mark passed away peacefully on the 4th January 2025, in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Bon Secours Hospital, Glasnevin, following a long illness borne with great courage and dignity. Beloved husband and best friend of Ruth (Brennan) Morris and much loved brother of Aisling and Patricia. He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife, sisters, brothers-in-law Jeremy Cotter and John Brennan, sisters-in-law Janet Brennan and Susan Brennan, nieces and nephews Niamh, Aoife and Liam Cotter, Robert, Stephen and Susie Brennan, and their wives/partners; friends and colleagues in Fingal C.C. and former army comrades (11 Cavalry Squadron and 62 Cav Squadron).

A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Fanagan-Kirwan Funeral Home, 21-23 Fairview Strand, Dublin 3 (D03 EC52) on Wednesday (8th January 2025) from 5.00pm until 7.00pm.
Mark’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Brigid’s Church, Killester (D05 P983) on Thursday (9th January 2025) at 10.00am followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium (D11 XA32).
Mark’s family would like to thank most sincerely the doctors, nurses, chaplains and all the staff of the Bon Secours Hospital, Glasnevin and the Palliative Care team attached to St Francis Hospice Raheny, who all afforded him such tender and dignified care.
Donations, in lieu of flowers and in memory of Mark, may be made to St. Francis Hospice Raheny and Cancer Research, care of the Irish Cancer Society.
