Martin ( Mattie ) Murphy

Mattie passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff at National University Hospital, Galway. Predeceased by his father Martin, mother Molly, sisters Mary, Breege and brother Johnny.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Ann (nee O’Neill), his daughters Marie Fitzsimons (Downpatrick), Angela Winston (Caherhugh), Carmel Cullen (Doocastle) and sons Francis (Roscommon) and Brian (Caherhugh), sons-in-law Steven, Billy and David, daughters-in-law Tara and Margie, his adored grandchildren, Sarah, Amy, Robbie, Dan, Adam, Matthew, Harry, Conor, Daragh, Emma, Bobby, Philip, Tom and Molly, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, the extended Murphy and O’Neill families, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the St. Colman’s Room, Corofin Church (H54 X768) on Sunday, 14 August, from 6.00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. followed by removal to the family home (H54 VP94).

Requiem Mass on Monday, 15th of August, at 12.00pm at the Church of the Sacred Heart Belclare (H54 XD26). Followed by burial in Cummer Cemetery.
