Martin BROPHY

Martin Brophy, of Fairymount, Crettyard, Co. Laois and formerly of Ballyquirke, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness, on January 6th, 2025, under the wonderful care of the Nurses and Staff at University Hospital, Waterford.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret, much loved father of Teresa, Carmel, Patrick and Martina, adored grandfather of Saoirse, Aoibhinn, Caoimhe, Síofra and Ellen and cherished brother of John, Mary and the late Timothy.

He will be sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Paul and Colin, Martina’s partner Ross, daughter-in-law Daiva, brother, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Carpenter’s Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 3pm on Sunday, January 12th, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Funeral Mass on Monday, January 13th, in St. Abban’s Church, Doonane, Crettyard, Co. Laois (Eircode R93 AT86) at 11am.

Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
