Martin Forde

Predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen, daughter Carol, sister Mary Fahy, brother John and son-in-law James Reidy.

It is with deep sadness that Martin’s family share the news of his death on 31 December, 2023 at Galway University Hospital.

Deeply mourned by his daughter Sandra, son Máirtín and his wife Karen, his much-loved grandchildren Maureen-Rose, Oisín, Cian and Jorja, brother Peter, sisters Veronica and Margaret, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Martin retired from C.I.E. and made many friends there over the years. He was a true Galwegian and a proud Claddagh man.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) on Friday morning, 5 January, 2024 from 9.30 a.m. prior to Mass. Removal from the parlour at 10.30 a.m. to St. Mary’s Church, The Claddagh. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Martin at 11 a.m. and following Mass he will be laid to rest in the new cemetery, Bohermore.
