Martin Herbert

Martin Herbert (Murty) (Terenure D6W) 9th November, 2024. Peacefully in the presence of his family, under the exceptional care of the staff at Cherry Orchard Hospital. Martin will be sadly missed by his sisters Peg, Mary, Phyl and Eileen, brothers Noel, Eamonn, Thomas, Peter and Michael, sisters-in-law Susan, Etta, Dolores and Eileen, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, friends and former colleagues at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Maria Stynes, Anne Sweeney and their team of activists, who worked tirelessly on behalf of the residents of Cherry Orchard Hospital and were responsible for the opening of the Hazel Unit. This enabled Martin and fellow residents to remain living in familiar surroundings, which gave great comfort to Martin and his fellow residents.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road on Wednesday afternoon (13th November) from 3pm to 4pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of St. Paul of the Cross, Mount Argus for Funeral Mass at 10 am followed by burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery.
