Martin Kennedy, Carne, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Sydney, Australia peacefully at the Belmullet Community Hospital on 16th April 2021. Predeceased by his loving wife Carmel (Shannon) and his parents Pat and Agnes. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving daughter Bridget, brother Josie (London), sisters Mary O’Connor (Ballisodare, Co. Sligo), Katherine Mangan (Shore Road, Belmullet), twin sister Marilyn O’Donoghue (Brisbane, Australia) and Teresa Healy (Carne, Belmullet), brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles in law, relatives and many friends.
Funeral will depart from his residence on Sunday afternoon at 3.30 to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Binghamstown for Funeral Mass at 4 o'clock followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.
In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Martin’s funeral will be private for immediate family only. For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the villages and en route to the cemetery, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the footpaths, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard. The Kennedy family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.

Memorial Mass for the soul of Martin will be held at a later date. For those who cannot attend due to restrictions, please leave a personal message for the family on the condolence form on this webpage.
