Martin (Marty) McNicholas

The death has occurred of Martin (better known as Marty) McNicholas, Mountdaisy, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, on 16th March 2024, peacefully, at the Mayo Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Martin and Bridget (née Tonra).

Dearly loved husband of Una (née Durkan,Foxford) and loving father of Majella Fitzmaurice, Joanne Callan, Marty Jnr., Sinead Flynn and Erin McNicholas.He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife , his son and his daughters, his grandchildren Danny, Cian, Rory, Emma, Amy, Tadhg and Cara, daughter-in-law Sacha, sons-in-law Shane, Jimmy, Paul and Kenny, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, friends and neighbours and all the family circle.

Marty will repose at his home (F23 T259) on Tuesday, 19th March, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. House private please other than at times of reposing. The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, on Wednesday, 20th March, for Funeral Mass at 2.30pm. Afterwards Marty will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.
