Martin (Mattie) RUANE

Martin died, peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy, daughter Grainne, sons Joseph and Sean, daughter-in-law Josie, grandchildren Elizabeth, Martin and Mary Ellen. He will be sadly missed by his family brother Paddy, sisters, Eileen, Mary and Nuala, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Martin is predeceased by his children Mary and Seamus, sisters Kathleen and Margaret and his brothers Jimmy and Johnny.

Martin’s Funeral cortège will arrive for Funeral Mass at 11.30am in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace and St Gerald, Mayo Abbey, on Thursday, 20th August (from his house, via, Ballintleva) with burial afterwards in Balla Cemetery.

Due to current government guidelines, the funeral will be confined to family and close friends. House private, please. The family would like to thank you for your understanding at this very difficult time.
