Melville Heights, Kilkenny
and formerly of Tallent's Lane, Sheastown, Kilkenny.
Murt passed away on 14th January 2026, peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff at Drakelands House Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Joan and much loved father of Margaret (Mags) Bowen, Joan Brennan McCord, Eddie, Richie and Murty. Murt will be dearly missed by his loving family, brother Pat and his wife Ann, sons-in-law Richie and Ian, daughters-in-law Anna, Jenny and Claire, grandchildren Jessie, Alec, Harry, Anna, Jack, Realtín and Ethan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Thursday (15th Jan) from 5pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm.
Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon in St. Joseph's Church, Foulkstown.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland
