The death has occurred of
Martin O'Brien
Peacefully on 28th January 2026 in the tender care of Wicklow Hospice and with his loving family by his side. Husband of the late Stella and adored father of Murt, Elizabeth, Patrick, Gerry and James. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing sons & daughter & their partners, his son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & friends.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Sweeney’s Funeral Home from 2pm on Monday with removal at 6.30pm to St. Mary and Peter’s Church arriving for reception prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam;

Funeral afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium, walking to The Nineteen Arches Bridge. Martin’s cremation service will be held at Mount Jerome at 1.30 in The Garden Chapel. This too can be viewed via webcam;
