MARTIN SPELMAN

SPELMAN Martin, Lisrabirra, Gort and late of Cappavarna, Gort, Co. Galway. Passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021, in the wonderful care of the Galway Hospice Foundation. Pre-deceased by his parents Dominick and Mary (Baby) and by his brother Michael and sister Mary. Sadly missed by his brothers Johnny, Eddie, Bobby and sister Anne Stanford, sister in law and brothers in law. Remembered fondly by his nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, his many friends and by the extended Spelman families.

Due to current restrictions to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, Martin’s funeral will be held in private. In line with level 5 restrictions, the family home, church and burial are strictly private.

Private funeral Mass will take place in St. Colman’s Church, Gort, on Friday, 19th of March, at 11am with burial afterwards in Kilmacduagh Cemetery. Family flowers only, please, donations, if desired, to the Galway Hospice Foundation. Martin’s funeral Mass will be broadcast on the Gort parish radio.
