The death has occurred of
Mary Canavan
(née Fortune)
Formerly of Ballymoneen, Avoca, Co Wicklow. Passed away peacefully on 26th March, 2026, in the tender care of St. Colman’s Residential Care Centre, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of Matt, adored mother of John, Fiona, Myles and Matthew and much-loved sister of Margaret, Kathleen, Nell, Paddy and the late Miley and little angel Bridget.
She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing husband, sons, daughter, son-in-law Andrew, daughters-in-law Eimear, Linda and Ashley, grandchildren Niamh, Eoin, Evan, Sarah, Hannah, Gwyn, Lili-Mae and Alasdair, brother, sisters, brother-in-law Jim, sisters-in-law Nancy, Cindy and Rose, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Sweeney’s Funeral Home from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday.
Removal on Monday morning at 9.30 to St. Mary & Peter’s Church, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 o’clock.
