Mary passed away peacefully on Sunday the 7th of September 2025, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Rosemount Nursing Home, Gort.

Predeceased by her loving husband Brendan.

A wonderful mother to Majella (Murphy), Hilary (Madden), Maura (Helebert), Barbara (Bradley) and Pat. Lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Aideen, sons-in-law Tom, Eamonn, Michael and Bob. Loving Nana to Conor, Aiden, Ciara, Ruth, Katie, James, Ellen, Diarmuid, Emma, Mark, Molly, David, Allie and Lua and the extended Madden family. Treasured sister to Monica McGrath, brother-in-law to Damien and sister-in-law to Carmel. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, friends and especially her caring friends Bebe and Joan.

Reposing in Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin, Galway (H91 CK84), on Tuesday the 9th of September from 5.30pm. Removal at 7pm to Galway Cathedral (H91 A780). Mary's Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday the 10th of September at 12 noon. Mary will then be laid to rest with her soulmate Brendan, in Rahoon Cemetery, Galway.

Parking: There is ample parking available at The Corrib Shopping Centre Multi-Story Car Park (H91 DP6R) which is only 2 minutes walk to/from the funeral home. The entrance to the car park is from Bóthar Na mBan. Please note that this car park will close at 7pm on Tuesday evening.
