Birdie passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of past and present staff over the past 11 years at Youghal and District Nursing Home, Gortroe, Youghal, Co. Cork on the 31st of December 2024, predeceased by her husband Pad Joe, sons James and Patrick (infant), parents Michael and Bridget Harney, sister Margaret and brother Joe.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her son Michael, daughter Elsie, daughter-in-law Jackie (nee O' Regan), grandchildren Meadhbh, Gráinne, Molly and Heidi, sister Sr. Sarto, sisters-in-law Pearl Dee and Betty Darcy, other relatives, neighbours and friends.

Birdie will be reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan on Thursday evening, 2nd January, from 5 p.m. with Prayers at 6.30 p.m. followed by removal to The Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Old Parish arriving at 8 p.m.

Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday morning, 3rd January. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
