Mary passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on

Wednesday the 4th of February 2026

 

Predeceased by her beloved husband George, her loving daughter Olivia and her brothers Seamus and Sean.

 

Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children John, Gerry, Frank, Kevin, and Kieran; all her adoring fourteen grandchildren Gerard, Stephen, Brendan, Conor, Tom, Lucy, Sara, Jess, Rachael, David, Carrie, George, Bruce and Henry; her sister Chrissie; her brother Tommy and her son-in-law and daughters-in-law. Mary will be fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many friends.

 

The Fitzgerald family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in SignaCare Nursing Home, Ferrybank for the exceptional care and kindness Mary was afforded throughout her time there.

 

May her gentle soul rest peacefully

 

Mary will be reposing at Falconer's Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, on Friday the 6th of February, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

 

All are welcome

 

Mary’s Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday, the 7th of February at 10 am at the Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, immediately afterwards Mary will be laid to rest in St. Declan's Cemetery, Tramore.

Mary's funeral cortège will be passing her residence in Moonvoy, between 09:30 am and 09:40 am en-route to the Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore; and will walk from Tramore Credit Union/ Lodges Corner to the Church for her Requiem Mass.
