Garrity, Mary Josephine (Maura), (née O’Sullivan)
27th January 2026, Portmarnock, County Dublin and late of Kilbride, County Meath,
Connecticut, USA and East Wall Dublin.
Peacefully after a short illness, at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown surrounded by her
loving family. Maura is predeceased by her husband Desmond Aloysuis, parents Josephine
and Eugene (County Kerry), sisters Joan (Furlong), Eileen (Colgan) and Peggy, brothers
Dermot, Donal, Mattie, Padráig, Philip, Denis, Rev. Fr. Owen, (SMA Fathers) and infant
brothers Shaun and Mortimer.
Cherished mother of Desmond and her devoted daughter-in-law Elizabeth (Betsy).
Maura will be sadly missed by her dear sister Kay and sisters-in-law Carmel, Ethna, Jackie, a
beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews in Ireland, England, United States of America and
Australia, she will be fondly remembered by her friend June, her many O’Sullivan cousins,
extended family and friends.

Maura will repose at Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock,
Eircode D13E0A2 on Tuesday 3rd February from 4 pm to 6pm
Removal on Wednesday morning 4th February to arrive at 10 am for Requiem Mass at St.
Anne’s Church, Strand Road, Portmarnock, Eircode D13WK33.
Followed by committal at Greenogue Cemetery, Donaghmore, Ashbourne, Co. Meath
