It is with deep sorrow that we wish to announce that Mary Geary of 5 Bishop Court, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick (also of The Square); former Vice-Principal of The Courtenay School Newcastle West, has passed away peacefully on the 8th October 2024 surrounded by the loving care of her treasured family. Predeceased by her devoted husband Paddy and her brothers Jack and Jimmy.

Deeply cherished by her beloved daughters Norita and Elaine and son-in-law Ronan; her adored grandchildren Céadlyn, Bronna, Suan, Warren, Ross, Laoilan and Luke and great-grandchildren Kallie, Zoey and Jake. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Sheila, Rita, Statia, Eileen, Kathleen and her brother Benny; her brother-in-law Donie; her nieces and nephews and all her wonderful friends and neighbours.

The family deeply appreciates the gentle care that Mary received during her recent illness and the kindness and support that everyone has shown during this very sad time.

Mary will repose in her home at 5 Bishop Court, Newcastle West on Friday evening 11th October from 5 o'clock to 7 o'clock. Requiem Mass on Saturday 12th October 2024, at 11.30 am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West. Mass will be live streamed on the following link https://youtube.com/live/xAiQZBecPlA?feature=share. A private cremation service will then take place for Mary’s family and close friends at Shannon Crematorium.
