Ita passed away peacefully on the 15th of November 2025 in the presence of her loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff at Cobh Community Hospital.
Beloved wife of the late Michael O’Flynn. Dearly loved mother of Valerie, Joe, Catherine, Aiden, David, Deirdre, John and Peter.
Beloved sister of Sr Valerian (Ann) Brierly and Rose Foley and the late Tom and Neil Brierley.
Ita will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, sons, sons-in-law John Joe, Patrick, Eugene, daughters-in-law Ruth, Honor, Marie and Amy, grandchildren and great granddaughters, nieces, nephews, extended family, Siobhan and a wide circle of friends.

Ita will repose at Cahill's Funeral Home, Newtown Rd., Cobh P24Y383 on Tuesday the 18th of November from 5.30pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal will take place at 11.30am on Wednesday the 19th of November from her home P24KD60 to St Colman's Cathedral for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by burial in Old Church cemetery.
