Mary Joyce
(née O'Connor)

Mary Joyce (née O’Connor) proprietor of Kevin Joyce Fashions, The Square, Headford, Co. Galway, on 7th January 2023. Peacefully, in the compassionate care of the staff of Our Lady of Knock Oncology Ward, Galway Clinic after an illness borne with immense courage, surrounded by her family.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Julia, her beloved husband Kevin, her brothers John Joe (Headford), Christy (Knockroone), Fursey (Ennis), her brothers-in-law Paddy (Headford) and Ger (Headford) and her sister-in-law and steadfast friend Peggy (Kilroe). 

Sadly missed by her sons Kenneth, Raymond (Dublin), Elaine (Galway), Kenneth’s partner Dervla, daughter-in-law Bree and her adored grandchildren Méabh and Eoghan. Greatly missed by her loyal brothers, Frank and Brendan (Headford), Fr. Charlie (formerly of Kansas, USA), Marty (Gort) and her husband’s siblings Fr. John (formerly of Nigeria), Sr. Bernadette (formerly of Chile), Brian (Dublin) and Ina (Ellagh). 

Reposing at Ryder's Funeral Home, High Street, Headford, H91 R2V6, from 5 pm to 7.30 pm on Monday, 9th January, and funeral at 12 pm on Tuesday from St Mary’s Church, Headford H91 C9W8, to Killursa Cemetery. Requiem Mass can be streamed live on the following link: https://www.churchtv.ie/headford/
