Mary Liz (Windmill Hill, Youghal) on 5th April 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Bons Secours Hospital, after an illness fought with great courage and strength.

Mary Liz, adored wife of William and beloved mother of Tony, David and Laura. Predeceased by her father Patrick, mother Bess, and brother Michael. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Sarah and brother Niall, her cherished grandchildren Beau and Loah, her daughter-in-law Maria, her son’s fiancée Aoife and her daughter’s fiancé James, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and wonderful friends.

The family sincerely appreciate the exceptional care given to Mary Liz by Professor Conleth Murphy and the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Bons Secours Hospital, Cork, as well as her GP, Dr Twomey and staff in Youghal.

Reposing at Egan’s Funeral Home, Youghal, on Wednesday 8th April from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.

Requiem Mass on Thursday 9th April at 1.30pm in the Holy Family Church, Youghal, followed by cremation at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork, at 4pm.
