Mary Lunney
(née O'Donnell)

Lunney (née O’Donnell), Mary (Dominick Street, and late of Bessborough Avenue, North Strand and Co. Donegal) – December 11th, 2022 (peacefully) at the Mater Hospital, after an illness borne with courage and dignity. Beloved wife of the late John Leo and loving mother of Margaret, Leo and Gerry and sister of the late Madge McDermott and Patrick.

Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by her loving family, her son-in-law John, Dorothy, her grandchildren Audrey, Stephanie, Denise and Danielle, great-grandchildren Joshua and Chloe, her brother-in-law Phelim, sister-in-law Philomena, nieces, nephews, her extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, on Wednesday evening (December 14th.) with a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5 o'clock to 7 o'clock. Removal on Thursday morning (December 15th.) to St. Agatha's Church, North William Street, arriving for 11 o'clock Requiem Mass, with Funeral thereafter to Dean's Grange Cemetery. 

To celebrate Mary's life, her family have requested that those attending her Requiem Mass wear bright colours.

Mary's family wish to extend their thank to the staff of Our Lady's Ward, Mater Hospital - to the Doctors and Nurses, her own G.P.; Dr. Gerard Roebuck and all his staff, who went above and beyond to care for her. Your kindness will forever be greatly appreciated.
