Mary (Mabel) Treacy
(née Ward)

Mary, lovingly known as Mabel, passed away peacefully in University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert, her parents Patrick and Katie, her brother Michael, and her cherished grandchild Stephen.

Mabel will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted sons Plunkett, Celsus, Declan, Damien, and Fergal, her cherished daughters Martina, Bernie, and Patricia, her dear sister Bernie Dempsey, her sons-in-law Damien and Felix, her daughters-in-law Joan, Collette, Siobhan, Teresa, Tayanth, and Mary, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren and by all who were blessed to know her.

Mabel was a kind, gentle, and loving woman whose life was devoted to her family.

Her warmth, strength, and generosity of spirit touched many hearts, and her memory will live on forever in those who loved her.

Mabel will be reposing at Aras Mhuire, in the grounds of St Killian's Church, New Inn (H53 H978) on Tuesday 27th January 2026 from 5.00pm with removal to her home at 7.00pm. Funeral Mass for Mabel on Wednesday at 11.00 AM in St Michael's Church, Cappataggle (H53 X037). Burial afterwards in Kilrickle Cemetery (H62 NY90).
