Mary (Marie) LOONAM

Mary (Marie) Loonam,

late of Lumcloon, Cloghan, Offaly.

Mary, who was fondly known as Marie died on August 12th 2025, peacefully with her family, in the loving care of the staff of the Ardan Ward at Tullamore Regional Hospital, having been a resident of Carthage Nursing Home, Mucklagh, and previously in the kind and loving care of the staff of Birchwood House, Tullamore. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Matt and Lilly, nephew Derek and sister-in-law Mary.

Marie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving sister Nancy Sheil, brothers, Paudge, Frank, Matthew and Mark, brother-in-law Joe, Mark's partner Caroline, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, and friends.

Grant Marie Eternal Rest and Peace

Marie will repose at Grennan's Funeral Home, Ferbane (R42 HW25) on Thursday (Aug. 14th) from 5.30 pm to 7pm.

Marie's Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (Aug 15th) (The Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary) in St. Mary's Church, Cloghan, at 12.30, and may be viewed on http://cloghanbanagherparish.ie, and will be laid to rest afterwards in Killourney Cemetery.
