Mary (May) Carleton.
In her 95th year, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in Marymount Hospice Cork
on February 16th 2026.
Wife of the late Denis, mother of the late Denis Brendan, mother-in-law of the late Raymond Morrissey,
sister of the late Jack and Peg and aunt of the late Declan and AIdan Cross.
May is sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, Elinor (Morrissey), Gerardine (Moloney) and Liam, grandchildren;Sarah Jane, Shannen, Kayleigh, Kerri, Kieran, Adam, Ben and Ryan, great granddaughter Amelie, son -in-law Noel, daughter-in-law Geraldine, nephews, nieces, relatives, fabulous neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Hannon's Funeral Home Doneraile P51HN30 on Wednesday evening, February 18th from 6.30pm to 8pm followed by removal to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Doneraile.
Requiem Mass on Thursday, February 19th at 1pm followed by burial in Oldcourt cemetery Doneraile alongside her husband Denis

The family would like to extend a very special word of thanks to all those that helped and supported May in more recent years, Dr Aidan Kelleher and his staff, Maureen and the staff of Doneraile pharmacy, the Public Health nurses, Marymount palliative care team and her home help carers.
Finally, a word of thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of St Christopher's ward in Marymount Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness and compassion shown to May and her family in the last number of weeks.
