The death has occurred of Mary (May) Moriarty (nee Murphy) and formerly Mary (May) Monaghan, Crowenstown, Delvin, Co. Westmeath on the 8th February 2026 peacefully in the care of the staff at Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham.
Predeceased by her husbands Mick and James, her parents, brothers and sisters.
Loving mother of Michael and Anne-Marie.
May will be sadly missed by her son, daughter, daughter-in-law Breda, Anne-Marie's partner Gordon, grandchildren David, Michael, Isabelle and Sophia, her brother Billy and sister Cathleen, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at St. Camillus Nursing Centre Chapel, Killucan (eircode N91VF51) this Monday evening from 4pm with prayers at 6pm. Removal thereafter to the Church of the Assumption, Delvin arriving at 7.15 pm approx.
May's Funeral Mass takes place on Tuesday morning at 10.30am in the Church of the Assumption, Delvin followed by burial in the local cemetery.
The family would like to thank Karen and Anna-May for their kindness and care of May while in their care.
