Mary Mc Cann (nee Mc Knight), Lough Cutra Drive, Gort, Co. Galway. Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 8th of February, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Pre-deceased by Kathleen and Robert McKnight.

 

Mary leaves behind her best friend and most wonderful husband Fran, her children Denise and Brendan, son and daughter-in-law Deana and Colin, her grandchildren Katie, Emily, Molly and Lara whom she loved completely, with their partners Seosamh, Kevin and Johnny, her beloved sister Brenda and siblings Joe, Alice and Sean. Fondly remembered by all her relatives, neighbours and many friends.

 

May she rest in peace.

 

 

Mary will lie in repose at her residence Lough Cutra Drive, Gort (H91 C4 HY) on Monday February 10th from 2pm until 6pm. The funeral cortege will arrive to Killanena Cemetery, Killanena, Co. Clare for interment at 12 noon on Tuesday, February 11th. Following the burial a remembrance service for Mary will take place in The Lady Gregory Hotel, Gort, at 2pm. All welcome to attend. Flowers most welcome as Mary adored flowers or donations in her memory can be made if desired to The Galway Hospice Foundation.

 

The Mc Cann family wish to thank all who cared for Mary during her illness. Finally, a special word of thanks to all our wonderful neighbours and friends for all their help and support at this sad time.
