Mary McCarthy
(née O'Mahony)
McCarthy, Carrigfadda, Skibbereen, (Formerly of McCarthy’s Chemist, North Street, Skibbereen). On May 31st, 2025 peacefully, at Bantry General Hospital. MARY, beloved wife of the late Neilus McCarthy and much loved mother of Patrick, Kay and Derry. Sister of the the late Sr. Ann O’Mahony, the late Florence O' Mahony and the late Beth Jennings. Deeply missed by her loving family, sister Teresa (Sharkey), daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren Emile, Sinéad, Clara, Neil, Charlie, Ed and great grandson Figaro, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Romie O'Donovan's Funeral Home, North Street, Skibbereen on Monday 2nd June from 5pm to 7pm followed by prayers. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 3rd June at 11am in St.Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen, livestreamed via http://Skibbereenandrath.ie Funeral afterwards to St.Patrick’s Cemetery, Coronea, Skibbereen.
House private. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Bantry General Hospital.
The family would like to thank the carers, who took such good care of Mary during the last few years and showed such kindness and dedication. It is much appreciated.
