Mary McGarry
(née Fahy)

Mary McGarry (née Fahy) of Bray, Co. Wicklow, and formerly of Drumquin, Co. Tyrone, passed peacefully on Saturday 21st March 2026, in the care and warmth of her loving family.

Beloved wife to George for 59 happy years, much-loved mother to Rory, Conor and Mary-Kate, treasured mother-in-law to Alva, Mary and William and cherished grandmother to Olivia, Rachel, Laura, Doireann, Catherine, Georgia, Owen, Ruth and Joanna. Mary will be sadly missed by her sisters Terry, Nuala, Jeanette, her brother John, extended family and friends, and remembered with love alongside her late siblings Mike, Joan and Patrick.

A lifelong teacher, Mary embraced life fully and will be forever remembered for her warmth, humour and the joy she found in celebrating her family and friends.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Wednesday 25th March from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. House private thereafter. A Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Bray on Thursday 26th March at 10.00am, followed by burial in Redford Cemetery, Greystones.
