Mary McInerney
(née McIntyre)
Mary McInerney (nee McIntyre) Shannow Wood, Cavan and formerly Cornamuckla, Gowna, Co Cavan, Sunday January 5th 2025. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, Surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husbands Seamus Maguire and Philip McInerney, parents Joseph and Bridget, brothers Paddy, Larry, Joe, Seamus and sister Kathleen. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her adored children Shane (Jenny), Philomena (Charlie) and Joe (Louise), grandchildren Amy, Saibh, Rian, Philip, Katie, Alfie and her beloved and adored great granddaughter Freya. Sadly missed by her brother Eamon McIntyre (Granard), sisters Breedge Gettings (Granard) and Margaret Fitzgerald (Dublin) and all of her much loved nieces, nephews, brothers in law, sisters in law, extended family and close friends.
Reposing at Finnegans Funeral Home tomorrow, Tuesday, 7th January from 7.30pm with prayers at 9.00pm. Mary has chosen to donate her body to medical science. As such, there will be no funeral mass. Instead, a mass to celebrate her life will be organised in the coming days. Family flowers only please, Donations in lieu, if desired, to ICU Cavan General Hospital, care of Declan Finnegan Funeral Director, or any family member.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated, on Saturday January 11th at 11.00am in St Felim's Church Ballinagh, Co Cavan
