Mary (Moll) Maher (nee Murphy)

Moll passed away on 10th July 2025, peacefully, at St. Columba’s Hospital, Thomastown, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of the late Michael and much loved mother of Tom, Teresa Anne and Michael. Moll will be dearly missed by her loving family, sisters Nell, Olive and Claire, daughter-in-law Catherine, son-in-law Tommy, grandchildren Charlie, Connor, Harry, Daragh and Luke, sisters-in-law Ann and Jill, nieces and nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and her many friends.

Moll is predeceased by her parents William (Galtee) and Tess, brothers Jim and Billy and sisters Kit, Joan, Vera and Daphne.

The family would like to thank in a special way the staff of Mount Brandon View Ward at St. Columba’s Hospital for the care, kindness and generosity shown to Moll during her time with them.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace

Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Sunday (13th July) from 4.30pm with Funeral Prayers at 5.45pm followed by removal to St. John’s Church. Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 10.30am. Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran’s Cemetery.
