The death has occurred of
Mary MURPHY
It is with great sadness we announce the death of Mary Murphy, Singland, Ballysimon, Limerick.
On January 19th, 2026, in St. John’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her loving husband Arthur.
Mary will be deeply missed by her son Tony and daughter-in-law Sinéad, grandchildren Karen, Jack and Lorna, Karen's husband Dave, Jack’s partner Olivia, great grandchildren Oisín and Cillian, her beloved companion (Sutty) other relatives and a large circle of friends.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Lower Gerald Griffin Street, Wednesday, January 21st, from 5pm to 6:30pm.
Funeral will arrive at St John's Cathedral, Cathedral Place, Thursday, January 22nd, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Mount St Lawrence (Ext) Cemetery.
The Murphy would like to extend their deepest thanks to their family friend Mary for always showing her warmth and care, always checking in on Mary, her home help, Margaret and Diolet, public health nurses Rita and Marie.
All the wonderful staff in St. John’s Hospital for their care, compassion and support shown to Mary in her final days.
