Mary Murtagh (née O’Connell). Castlebar Co. Mayo and formerly of Gleann, Collooney, and Carniara, Lavagh, Co. Sligo. 1st December 2025. Peacefully at the Intensive Care Unit, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her father Jimmy.

Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter Martina, her sons Seán and Pádraig, their father John and her partner John, her son-in-law Jim and daughters-in-law Sinéad and Martina. She will be remembered with love by her mother Vera, her sisters Patricia, Catherine and Breege, her brothers Séamus and Michael, her cherished grandchildren Isabelle, Evie, Alice, Oscar, Hugo and Cillian, her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Mary will be reposing at the Knocknashee Community Hub, Lavagh (F56 W744), on this Saturday evening (6th December) from 5pm to 7.30pm, with removal to the Church of The Sacred Heart, Mullinabreena (F56 C864), arriving for prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Sunday (7th December) at 12 noon with burial afterwards in St. Nathy's Cemetery, Collooney.
