It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother and wife, Mary O'Brien, Garryowen, Limerick.

On April 7th 2026 peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick , surrounded by her loving family.

 

Pre-deceased by her parents Mary and Jim Kenihan.

 

Sadly missed by her loving husband Brendan, heartbroken daughter Louise and son Colm, son in law John, daughter in law Jessie, adored grandchildren Ben, Ellie, Leah, and Millie, brothers Tony and Christopher, sisters Sheila, Ann and Gillian, nieces, nephews other relatives, her best friend Mary, also her large circle of friends in Limerick and Ballybunion.

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Lower Gerald Griffin Street, Limerick, Friday April 10th, from 4pm to 6pm.

Funeral will arrive Saturday, April 11th, to. St John’s Cathedral, Cathedral Place, for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by service in Shannon Crematorium at 1pm.

 

The O'Brien Family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Mary’s GP Dr. Tom O'Callaghan, and also to Dr. Pardeep and his team in University Hospital Limerick for the care, support and compassion shown to Mary in her final days.
