Mary Owens (née Flaherty), Castlegar, Mountbellew and formerly of Abbert, Abbeyknockmoy, Co. Galway.

It is with deep sadness that Mary’s family share that their much-loved mother passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at her home on Wednesday the 16th April 2025.

 

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Paddy, parents John and Mary, sister Eileen and brothers Joe and Kevin.

 

Mary will be forever loved and very sadly missed by her heartbroken family. Loving mother of Marianne, Anne, Joe, Carmel and Michael. Adoring granny to Noah and Grace. Sadly missed by her sons-in-law, Michael and Tommy and Anne’s partner Padraic, sister Rita, brothers Michael, Sean, Gerry and Aidan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and her wide circle of friends and neighbours.

 

Reposing at the Franciscan College Oratory, Mountbellew (H53 WE00) on Sunday 20th April from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

Requiem Mass of the Resurrection for Mary in St. Mary’s Church, Mountbellew on Monday, 21st April at 11am followed by internment with her much-loved husband in the New Cemetery, Mountbellew.
