The death has occurred of Mary Ruane (nee Finnegan) of Menlough, Ballinasloe, Galway and late of Fiddane, Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe, Galway.
Mary passed away peacefully on February 5th 2026 in the wonderful and kind care of Mountbellew Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
Pre-deceased by her parents Martin & Catherine Finnegan, her loving husband Pat, her brothers Thomas, Paddy, Mattie & Jimmy
Mary will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Patricia (Caulfield), Menlough and Ann Marie (Cruise), Ballydangan, her sons in-law Gabriel & Aidan, her precious grandchildren, Eoin, Conor, Rebecca & Lorna, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May her gentle soul rest in peace
Mary will repose at the Franciscan College Oratory, Mountbellew (H53 WE00) on Sunday, February 8th from 5 - 7pm. Requiem mass for Mary will take place in St Mary Church, Menlough (H53 RC62) on Monday, February 9th at 11 am with burial afterwards in Menlough cemetery.
