Mary Sheppard
(née Ryan)

Formerly Shantalla.  Mary, a most precious wife, and mother died very peacefully at home following a short illness borne with strength, dignity and grace with the love, care and support of her husband Mike, daughter Donna, sons Ryan and Craig, son-in-law Joe and daughters-in-law Rachel and Assumpta. She will be very sadly missed by mourned by her heartbroken husband, daughter and sons, son-in-law, daughters-in-law,  grandchildren, Alex, Amelia, Louis, Theo, baby Hugo, Elon and baby Ada,  cherished sisters Kathleen, Ann and Louise, brothers Michael, John, Gay and Anthony, much loved sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, wonderful nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her mother Della, father Gael, brothers Peter and baby George.

Reposing at the  O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Friday, 21 October, from 5.30p.m.  to  7 p.m. Arriving at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road, on Saturday, 22 October in advance of  Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock.

Mary will be laid to rest following Mass in Rahoon Cemetery.  House Private.

‘An angel lived among us, a gift from God above,

 She showered us with kindness and shared with us her love,

 That angel’s name was ‘Mam’.

No flowers please, donations, if desired,  to the wonderful services of The Galway Hospice, Renmore.
