Mary Teresa Alford
(née Bruton)
Mary Teresa Alford, (nee Bruton) born in Dublin, July 31st 1946 and brought up in Sandymount, County Dublin. Lived happily in Shannon Harbour after retirement the past years. MSc Ornithology, Ecologist. Worked as a science teacher and was fondly remembered as a very affable teacher and great listener. A gentle, intellectual lady, much loved by all. We miss her greatly.
Mary passed away peacefully on February 15th 2026 and is survived by her husband Eddie, sons Richard and William, her daughter Christine and her extended family.
Mary will repose at Eliza Lodge Nursing Home, Banagher on Tuesday 17th February from 5pm until 6.30pm. Funeral service in St. Paul's Church, Banagher on Wednesday at 2pm followed by burial in adjoining churchyard.
