MARY THERESA CHERRY (Lesa née Crowley) Hull, England and Ballyregan, Cloyne, Co. Cork died peacefully on Wednesday March 19th 2025 in the Hull Royal Infirmary where she had worked as a highly respected Theatre Nurse for many years.

 

Lesa was born in 1939, the third child and first daughter to John Crowley and Elizabeth (née McCarthy). Predeceased by her brothers Ted, Anthony and Jack and her sister Anna Margaret.

 

Lesa is survived by her loving husband Thomas William Cherry and will be sorely missed also by her sister Noëlle, brothers Oliver and Patrick, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews in Ireland, England, USA and Australia.

Funeral Mass and cremation taking place on Wednesday April 23rd 2025 in Hull. Thereafter, as was Lesa's wishes that her ashes be taken "home to Ireland" and interred in her Parent's grave in Cloyne.

 

On Sunday April 27th 2025, Parish Mass at 11.30am in St. Colman's Church, Cloyne will be offered for Lesa following which her ashes will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
