Mary Theresa (Theresa) O'Sullivan
(née O'Mahony)

On the 15th of March 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones. Mary Theresa (Theresa), darling wife and best friend of the late Owen Eugene, daughter of the late Denis and Hannah Maria O’Mahony Dreenacreenig West, Drimoleague. Much loved and adored mother of Denis, Eugene, William and Joan and fond sister of Hannah (Rath), George, Nora (Mc Carthy), Eileen (Brady) and Anthony, cherished Nana of Owen, Fionn, Éabha, Cara, Isla and baby Robyn. Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, daughters-in-law Carolynn (O’Mahony) and Denise (O’Halloran) sisters-in-law Elaine and Mary, brothers-in-law Sean and Liam, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and dear friends.

May she rest in peace.

Theresa’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those in the medical profession and her caregivers for the care and kindness shown. A special thank you to Dr Tim Dukelow Consultant Geriatrician for the unwavering support and friendship to Theresa and family throughout her illness. Also, a sincere thank you to Anthony and Elaine O’Mahony, Liam and Fern Minihane and family for their assistance in caring for Theresa at home.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry, P75YW58 on Tuesday March 17th from 6pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry on Wednesday March 18th at 12noon (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to the Friends of Bantry General Hospital.
