14th April 2026 (peacefully), after a long and happy life, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Blackrock Clinic. Matt, dearly beloved husband of Diana, adored father of Sarah, Naomi, Liz and Paul, and loving grandfather of Lauren, Georgina, Peter, Michael, Matthew, Carin, Indigo, Julia and Charlie, and treasured great grandfather of Robyn and Connie. Deeply regretted by his loving family, his sister Ann Osborne, his sons-in-law Andrew Quinn, Richard Stapleton and Robert Kavanagh, daughter-in-law Chrisna, nieces and nephews, extended family and wide circle of friends.

Matt will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town, (A67 E003) this Saturday 18th April 2026 from 12.00 noon. Removal at 1.00pm to McCrea’s Cremation Chapel in the adjoining building for a celebration of Matt’s life.
