Matt O'Connor

O’CONNOR, Matt (Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Garristown, Co. Dublin). Passed away peacefully on Aug 14th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, in the tender care of the staff at Rathborne Nursing Home, Ashtown. Dearly loved husband of Maeve (née Madden), much loved dad of Mark, Patrick, Una, and Matthew and proud grandad of Clare, Niamh, Hugh, Oscar, Amy, Dara, Luke and Kate. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife and children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Edel, Eiko, and Erica, son-in-law David, brother Noel, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

House private. Removal on Tuesday morning (August 19th) to St. Brigid’s Church, Blanchardstown arriving for Funeral Mass at 10 am followed by burial in Garristown Cemetery.
