Matthew Gartland

Matthew Gartland, Grangebeg, Raharney, Westmeath, 8th January 2025, peacefully in his ninety fourth year surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff of Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar. Predeceased by his wife Linda, brother Sean and sisters Nuala and May.

Deeply mourned by his son John and daughter Elaine. Matt will be greatly missed by his adored grandchildren Luke, Moya, Jude, Sam and Zoe and his son in law Ciaran. He is survived by his brother Des and sister Chrissie. He will be fondly remembered by his nephews, nieces and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at St. Camillus Nursing Centre, Capel (Eircode N91VF51), Killucan this Friday evening (10th January) from 4.00pm to conclude with prayers at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday (11th January) at 12pm in St. Brigid’s Church, Raharney, with burial afterwards in Rathwire Cemetery.
