The death has occurred of
Matthew (Matt) Lyons
Matthew (Matt) Lyons (Ballyanrahan West, Patrickswell, Co. Limerick and late of Telecom Eireann). 30th January 2026, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick.
Beloved husband of Rose. Dearly loved father of Bernadette, Matthew, Geraldine and Susan. Matt will be sadly missed by his sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, his cherished grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Monday 2nd February from 4pm to 5.30pm Matt’s Funeral will arrive at Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Patrickswell on Tuesday 3rd February for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in St. Mary’s New Cemetery, Patrickswell.
