Matthew (Mattie) McCABE

McCABE, Matthew (Mattie) – (Goatstown and formerly of Kilnacross, Bailieboro, Co. Cavan) 24^thNovember 2021 (peacefully) in his 98^th year at St. Vincent’s University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  Predeceased by his brothers, sisters and daughter-in-law Veronica.  He will be deeply missed and remembered with much love and affection by his beloved wife Joan, sons John and Noel, his sister Johanna and his adored grandchildren Caoibhe and Barry, great grandchildren Ben, Bonnie and Alex, John’s partner Ciara, daughter-in-law Angie, grandson in Law Ali, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.  Reposing at his home on Monday (29^th November) between 3 pm to 5 pm for family and close friends in line with COVID restrictions.  May he Rest in peace.  Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 10.30 am in the Church of the Holy Cross, Dundrum followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery. The capacity of the church is limited to 125 people, but the Funeral Mass can be viewed live at this link  https://www.dundrumparish.com/webcam/  Those attending the Funeral Mass are required to enter the Church before the Funeral cortége arrives.  Family flowers only.  Donations in lieu to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
