The death has occurred of
Matthias (Matt) Anthony Grimes
Matthias (Matt) Anthony Grimes, formerly of The Square, Skerries. Sadly passed away on the 20/6/2024. He passed away peacefully in hospital in Brighton in the presence of his loving family. He leaves his wife and best friend of 61 years Claire, his three children Jennifer, Ailish and Sean, their respective partners Pete, John and Zizi, his eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Matt left Skerries to pursue a career in dentistry, studying at the Royal College of Surgeons and then moved to London for a short period. They finally settled in Brighton. Predeceased by his parents, Matthias and Catherine Grimes, and his beloved brothers Bartle, Jim, Willie, Christy and John and sister Esther.
A service will be held in Brighton. .
