Maura Barron (née Brosnan), 7 Barrow Lough, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow and formerly of Tuosist, Kenmare, Co. Kerry, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on 27th August 2025, at University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her father Donal and mother Eileen. Maura will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Bobby, sons Daniel, Luke and Alex, sisters Margaret and Aileen, brother Don, parents-in-law Dick and Nora Barron, sisters-in-law Cáit, Anne, Catherine, Eve and Emily, nieces Ella, Erin, Jackie, Ali, Anne and Grace, nephew Jack, goddaughters Jenna, Kate and Alice, extended family, Peter, Brian and James, kind neighbours and friends.
May Maura's Gentle Soul Rest in Peace
Reposing at Cushen’s Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (R21 V127) on Friday, 29th August at 5 pm, concluding with prayers at 8.30 pm. Removal from Cushen’s Funeral Home on Saturday, 30th August to arrive at St. Lazerian’s Church, Leighlinbridge for Funeral Mass at 11 am. The Funeral Mass can be viewed by clicking here or on the Funeral Service link below. Burial afterwards in Leighlinbridge Cemetery.
Maura's Month's Mind Mass will be held at 10 am on Sunday, 5th October in Lauragh Church, Tuosist, Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
Maura’s family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful staff at University Hospital Waterford for the exceptional care provided to Maura during her time there.
